The Father's heart

We live in a country where about 50% of our children do not get to know their fathers. They may be alive, but they are not present and active in the lives of their children. This is such a sad state of affairs and should never be acceptable as a value for a Nation that wants to grow strong and build people of value. The unconditional love of a Father is part of the promise in the bible. God sent his own son, so that we may be saved. He wanted us to come back into relationship with him.Jesus became flesh, so that we could see the father's heart. This past week, two great fathers I know both died of heart attacks. Both had walked the journey over many years of sacrifice and discipline for the love of their children. They may be gone too early, but leave behind a legacy of love and strength in their children that will be passed down through the generations. We need for men to take up their rightful place as men of honor for both their wives and their children. A Nation can only be built on these kinds of foundations. Today I salute dads who place their children at the top of their list of priorities. This is the only success worth having in life. No money or power can ever equal this sacrifice. Rise up and build the lives of your children to have a better future, knowing that they are loved by both their earthly and heavenly fathers. We then will have a nation to be proud of.
